Luke 18:16
But Jesus called them to him, saying, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.
Tanzania, Summer 2010
The Mission
To fight hunger and poverty among orphaned and vulnerable children in the Mkuranga region of Tanzania by starting a sustainable chicken farm at the Hananisif Orphanage school.
Information
This summer a team of FSU students will travel to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania to start a sustainable chicken farm for Hananisif Orphanage. The team will build the physical building and provide 500 chickens for the initial stock, along with the first year's food and medical supply in an effort to provide a sustainable source of food and income for the orphanage. This is a Tanzanian-initiated project which the orphanage knows will help them cover their operating cost while providing quality nutrition for the orphans indefinitely.
Our project take place May 5th - July 6th. The team is comprised of members of Seminole Christian Life, a Christian student organization at FSU. These team members are going in response to the love of Jesus Christ who died so that they and the people of Tanzania can be forgiven and have eternal life.

Purchase a messenger bag
Team members have hand sewn messenger bags to help raise funds for their travel expenses. These messenger bags can be purchased for only $40 $30. They were developed in consultation with the FSU Textile Department. 100% of the purchase cost goes towards the project.
